Scholarship for LibertonLiberton Christian School in Pine Hill has won a 2008 World Vision Intermediate Scholarship for its efforts in the 40-Hour Famine this year. Prinicpal Fiona Sizemore said the school raised nearly $3000 and was one of the 20 schools in New Zealand to be awarded the scholarship. Pupil Matthew Boyes (13) was one of the top fund-raisers for the school in the 40-Hour Famine and has been awarded a trip to Auckland for a week of leadership building activities from September 29 to October 5.
