New principal appointed

Dear Liberton Christian School Community
The Board of Trustees has been working on appointing a permanent principal since May 2006 when we advertised but did not find a suitable candidate. We are very thankful to Fiona Sizemore for being our acting principal since Nel van’t Wout’s retirement in July.
The principal position was readvertised and applications closed on Monday 18 September. There were two very good applicants and they have been interviewed over the school holiday period.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Fiona Sizemore has been appointed to the position. You will all be aware of Fiona’s passion for, and knowledge of, Christian education. Both the Board of Trustees and the DCSA Council agreed that Fiona is the ideal person to lead Liberton Christian School forward into the next phase.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Fiona on her appointment.
We thank you for your prayers as we have gone through this process. We trust that you will all support and pray for Fiona in her new role.
