Liberton Christian School’s mission encourages pupils towards ...Making a positive contributionLIBERTON Christian School is a small school with a big heart. We are a full (year 1 to year 8), state-integrated primary school with a capped roll of 62 pupils. We still have places available for new pupils who may wish to start at the school in early 2006. Liberton sees itself as a small part of Dunedin’s wider Christian community, with the mission of providing a primary education that is distinctively different and of the highest quality. Staff are committed to upholding the school’s special character, parental involvement in school life is encouraged, and we see literacy and numeracy as cornerstones to a child's future learning. We want to see all the children who come to our school grow in Christian character and become positive contributors to a society that seems to us to be increasingly needy. We aim to guide our pupils so that over time they begin to take responsibility for their own learning. We believe each child has great worth and he/she has unique gifts that need to be fostered and developed. Liberton Christian School is committed to providing pupils with: We see our role as partnering parents to help enable this. In the past five years, the school has seen major changes with a number of new facilities built. We are now in the process of revitalising the school library so it has a greater role in pupil learning. We are also finalising a new concept plan for extended developments to the school site. If you would like to be part of our school community, or even explore the possibility do not hesitate to contact the school office. We would be delighted to have you join us in our journey of seeing education in a new light. The Star, Education Supplement, November 24, 2005 Back to Main Page |
