New rooms at Liberton

By Rebecca Fox

After 20 years as principal of Liberton Christian School, Nel van’t Wout has her own office.

The school officially opened a new administration area comprising a principal’s office, reception area and staff-room on Friday.

Ms van’t Wout said for staff to have their own space was fantastic. The principal and staff had shared one small space.

“Our other one was like a broom cupboard. This is very light and bright.”

The integrated three-classroom school, which has 72 pupils to year 8 level, funded the project itself. Some of the labour was done voluntarily.

It was opened by architect and former pupil Elizabeth Lee. Board members, parents and former pupils attended the opening.
