Pupils learn for life |
|
Liberton Christian School is a state-integrated full primary school catering for pupils in years 1 to 8. We are in the northern suburb of Pine Hill and enjoy a magnificent rural outlook. We see ourselves as a part of Dunedin’s Christian community, with the mission of providing a primary education distinctively Christian in character and of the highest quality that equips children for life. We care about the spiritual, academic, cultural, social and physical development of our pupils. Staff are committed to upholding the school’s special character, parental involvement is encouraged and we see numeracy and literacy as cornerstones to a child’s future learning. Our pupils also receive specialist visual arts tuition. With our small class sizes, children receive quality programmes that ensure individuals are catered for. We want to see all the children who come to our school grow in Christian character and become positive contributors to society. We believe each child has great worth and they has special gifts and talents that need to be fostered and developed. As educators we see our role as partnering parents to help enable this. As a full primary school, one of our focuses is developing leadership qualities in our senior students. Our year 8 pupils plan, organise and run theme days, support younger students and have various leadership roles within the school. We are excited about our future as we develop the school facilities to ensure our pupils receive the best education to help prepare them to live life to the fullest. If you would like to be part of our school community, contact the school office. Principal Fiona Sizemore would be delighted to meet with you and discuss your child’s educational needs.
